• Our Approach

At Momentum we believe that everyone has the potential to learn, develop and grow and we are here to facilitate that. Our specially designed programs meet you where you currently are. They are structured to teach you the next steps to achieving your goals.

Our program is movement based and structured to build your confidence. It will improve your ability to problem solve and your physical abilities. The desired outcome is maximum independence and autonomy.

For over 20 years Mhairi (pronounced Vari) has worked in multiple countries around the world empowering people with disabilities to achieve their full potential. She has worked with infants as young as 6 months old and their families right through to adults in their 90’s. Trained in the UK in Conductive Education she has a passion and desire to see others achieve their goals.

Mhairi (Vari) often reminds those she works with that independence comes in many forms:

For K (a stroke survivor) it meant being able to roll over in bed during the night and no longer needing a PSW overnight.

For J (an adult with cerebral palsy) it meant being able to change into more comfortable clothes on a hot day without requiring assistance.

For W (10 years old with cerebral palsy) it was learning to open his lunchbox so he could eat snack with his friends.

For R ( a stroke survivor) it was finding the right walker so she could go to the store and choose her own produce.

For E (age 4 with cerebral palsy) independence was being potty trained and no longer wearing diapers.

For P (an adult with MS) it meant learning how to stand and weight bear during transfers which avoided having to purchase more equipment and home renovations.

For G (a stroke survivor) independence was being able to ditch his wheelchair when at home and walk using a cane.

Whatever the goal - Momentum is here to help.
